Long Rushiris

Bobartia indica

Tufted perennial to 1m or more with trailing, cylindrical leaves that are longer than the stems; bears yellow, star-shaped flowers in a dense head comprising 6-40 individual clusters subtended by a green spathe with a long, needle-like tip.
