Muizenberg Junior School
This garden is a registered restoration garden within the
Fynbos Corridor Collaboration.
The garden caretaker has committed:
- To support planting of primarily locally indigenous vegetation (note: we don't expect the garden to currently be there, but the caretaker is willing to work toward this goal).
- To work on removing alien and invasive species.
- To periodically provide updates on the status of the garden.
- When possible, to share seeds or cuttings from the garden's indigenous plants with other members of our network.

Description
This garden forms part of the Ingcungcu Sunbird Corridor which connects Muizenberg Mountain to Rondevlei Nature Reserve. This garden was originally one of the four 'control' gardens for the four 'planted' gardens at nearby High Schools, which were planted in 2013. In 2017, these 'control' gardens were planted with locally indigenous, nectar-rich and bird-pollinated species, to strengthen this section of the Sunbird Corridor.
